"I love Maggie....I'm gonna keep her." -G

We rescued Maggie from the pound in 2008, the year before Josh and I got married, and G wasn't born until 2011 so she was our baby for about 3 years...and for another 3 years she wasn't very fond of  the "new addition". We (especially G) are so excited to see their little relationship really grow over the past few months. Maggie really seems to now adore her newest little owners, all 3, and shows them love by letting them love on her...no matter how hard..and even by giving them her own little kisses. <3

A Day at the Beach

Josh has a new schedule at work now where he is off every other friday... yesterday was one of those fridays so we packed up and headed to Hilton Head Island for the day!! I kept my camera in my bag until after lunch so that I could do nothing but play in the waves, build sand castles (that were really just mounds of sand because I am terrible at the whole castle thing.) and buried Grace's legs and extremely wiggly toes in the sand. Oh...and got burned. very very burned. All in all it was a terrific day. :)

It cracks me up that he has to stick his tongue in there like that...needless to say, I don't share drinks with him. 

of course Grace was looking at the dog behind her. ;)

Cherish this Day | March 27

While G was napping, O was helping get things ready to plant a flower that she picked out at Lowe's. He wanted to carry the potting soil but seemed to be having some trouble so I asked if he needed any help. He, of course, said no and the next thing I knew he picked it up like this and took off running as fast as he could toward me...smiling the whole way! When he got to me he said "I'M STRONG!!" and carried it back and forth over and over again. This little guy cracks me up! :)

Giving Maggie a Bath | March 10 on 10

The two older kiddos helped me give our dog, Maggie, a bath. They actually surprised me by doing a really great job! They were excited...but not too excited to where they were rough with Maggie and they did exactly as I asked them to! Mags isn't a fan of the whole bath scene...but I know she's got to feel so much better once we're done. :) If these two keep up the good work they may get to give her a bath every time! ;)

First Date with Daddy | Cherish this Day Feb20

I was so excited to hear that my husband had planned to take G on their first date on Valentine's Day! I found the perfect dress (on clearance at Old Navy!) and she even got to curl her hair for the first time! Well...we put curlers in her hair for the first time...there really weren't any curls when we got done. No one really cared though...she loved getting some special attention from me while she got ready and from Daddy on her date. While she picked out his tie, she told me that he was her prince... and he sure treated her like a princess. <3  Josh told me, after they got home, that he asked for a table just so he could pull out/push her chair under for her...which made my heart melt! Oh, how I wish I could have been a fly on the wall during their date! (I absolutely loved my little home date with her brothers though!)
